Description: This collection is from a Victorian Scrap Album of the 1880s. We owe our thanks to several very generous friends in Corry, Pa, for sharing this family heirloom with us. Every item in the album has been scanned at 300 dpi, saved at actual size and painstakingly restored.
The word scrap is often used to describe small paper images printed in color by the process of chromo-lithography and usually also embossed and die-cut. In Victorian times these scraps or cut-outs were highly sought after. Collections of scraps were pasted into specially produced albums, together with other decorated paper items such as food wrappers, trading cards, greeting cards, pictures from magazines and catalogues. All types are included in this collection.
The 126 Victorian scrap images on this CD are in two formats professional-quality, high resolution 300 dpi TIF files and lower resolution JPG files for viewing on your computer monitor. They are ready to use on both PC and Mac platforms.
